EQUANS is looking for a Division Manager Properties for Brussels.
Within the context of the segment’s strategy and business framework, the Division Manager must plan, organize, lead, coordinate and control all operations, along with all related activities in order to attain the objectives in terms of commercial activities, customer relationship management, project and contract execution, turnover, budget and margin management and personnel management.

Specific tasks will include:

  • manage a team of approx. 1000 permanent employees. This team can be completed with additional external workforce
  • be responsible for the financial results of the division: approximate turnover €140 Mio
  • manage the commercial processes in cooperation with the BD and commercial teams, and participate in building and maintaining all relevant relationships in the market segment of the division in order to sell the contracts in the related technical field
  • translate the segment strategy into a plan and budget for the division in order to determine the framework within which the activities will be organized, planned, monitored and managed and to provide the necessary resources for an optimal functioning of the division
  • supervise the execution, follow-up and adjustment of the projects and contracts in order to ensure that the set objectives are realized
  • cooperate with the different support functions to ensure the optimal functioning of the division within the budgetary agreements
  • optimize project resources required to achieve its business objectives in a positive social climate and in strict conformity with the application of the BU Benelux and division policy in terms of HSSEQ and ethics
  • collaborate with the other division managers of the segment and of the other segments, and with the Commercial and BD teams to maximize possible synergies
  • represent EQUANS in professional organizations and within community in order to promote and, if necessary, safeguard the company’s image and interests
  • build, develop and maintain expertise centres and in cooperation with other divisions
  • provide support to deliver excellent orders to cash cycles and processes: from managing incoming orders and follow up, all the way to delivery completion
  • encourage continuous training and education of others, to boost overall competence and know-how which can be deployed as a means to achieve the division’s/segment’s ultimate vision
  • openly cooperate/contribute to the task realization of the new solution’s division tasks, with a positive mindset
  • fully support the development of the new solutions (integrated solutions, zero carbon, digital,…) as defined in the segment strategy
  • internal interfaces:
    • segment management
    • business development and commercial teams
    • support functions
    • operational teams
  • external interfaces:
    • partners, stakeholders and authorities counterparties, customers
    • contractors/suppliers
    • legal and technical edvisors
    • professional organizations

Your profile

  • master with preference civil or industrial engineer or equivalent by experience
  • professional experience (requirements in function of seniority):
    • minimum of 15 years of experience in the operational management of technical and multidisciplinary contracts (mainly maintenance, but also small projects)
    • experience in the energy and/or technical services sectors
    • thorough management experience
  • specific business understanding:
    • sound knowledge of the Energy and Energy Services business
  • skills and specific knowledge:
    • proven leadership & cooperation skills
    • capacity to build and maintain complex customer relationships
    • good interpersonal and communication skills combined with commercial and business insight makes you our ideal candidate
    • ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with social partners
    • self-driven and with strong business acumen and ethics
    • a result-oriented and a ‘doer’ mindset
    • ability to work in a multicultural/multilingual environment
    • good analytical skills
    • excellent multitasking and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize objectives and tasks
    • ability to work under pressure to meet scheduled and demanding timelines
    • understanding of project structuring and financing options for large-scale and complex projects
    • legal knowledge regarding project development in certain fields
    • fluency in English & French is a must
