Job Summary

Our portfolio is used in virtually every stage of the most important research, development and production activities in the industries we serve.
We are currently looking for an External Product Specialist
 for our Life Science Product Portfolio to join our business on a full time basis.

In your role, you will support our Account Managers by providing specialist product support for our Life Science portfolio of products at ourLife Science customers in the region of Antwerp, East- and West-Flanders.
What you’ll do on a typical day
  • Promote, demonstrate and sell our Life Science portfolio of products both directly to our customers and through our Account Managers.
  • Provide technical and product support to account managers .
  • Organise and attend regular visits with customers, fulfilling sales and margin targets .
  • Provide weekly reports to your Sales Manager and maintain customer data, showing visits attended, prospects, and other tasks .
  • Establish positive relationships with suppliers to ensure support for business growth via joint marketing activity and price support .
What you’ll need to be successful at Avantor

  • Knowledge of Life Science Products is essential
  • You have successfully obtained a Bachelor/Master within Life Sciences studies
  • A proactive go-getter mentality, strong communication skills and a commercial attitude
  • Excellent Dutch and English (verbal and written) communication skills as you will be communicating with various stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Sales experience is a strong asset but not a necessity.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office package and good report writing ability
  • Flexibility to travel regularly within your region, and the organisational skills to manage your own schedule to be effective
