Unilever Food Solutions is the division within Unilever Benefra that specializes in selling and supporting convenience products and services for the professional chef. Our end customers are institutions (social) as well as HoReCa, butchers, caterers, and sandwich bars (commercial). Our team of 65 employees realizes a turnover of more than 50 mio euro on the Belgian and Luxembourg food service market. Our range offers various degrees of convenience products, ranging from basic products to ready-to-use products. Products with which the chef always efficiently expresses his creativity in the dishes. The brands we have in our portfolio include KNORR, HELLMANN’s, THE VEGETARIAN BUTCHER, etc. We are a growing company and hold a leading position in most of the markets in which we are active: soups, sauces, bouillons, teas, spices, ....

Function

Within the finance & business operations team, we are looking for a Finance & Business Assistant Manager. The Finance & Business Assistant Manager reports to the Finance Manager and has close contact with the Business Operations Manager.

Responsibility

Within the Finance Team you will be responsible for supporting the Finance Manager and within the business operations team you will support the team with analysis around tender/contract management and handling of bypasses.

Together with the Finance Manager you are responsible for the general financial administration and give support to the follow-up of the various marketing and sales budgets for both the Unilever Food Solutions and Savoury business. You do this together with the marketeers and the different account managers. You will also be responsible for the profitability calculations for various customers, as well as the settlements of our entire tender business.

Your Job Will Include The Following Tasks
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with budget exercises for marketing and sales, analyses around profitability or liquidity.
  • Administrative support to reference new products, pricing and out-of-stock management.
  • Follow up on sales performance and set up actions with the sales team if needed (FP&A).
  • Administrative & analytical support of the business operations team: follow-up of budget settlements and contractual agreements with both the wholesaler and the end customers, credit notes and price claim management, promotional analyses.
  • Drafting, sending & paying out all tenders (Price quotes & public tenders) and you are the central point of contact for both internal and external contacts regarding this matter. You will be the key user and manage the tender application (TMT) in all its aspects. You will certainly be able to show your organizational qualities and determination but also your social and communicative skills will come into their own here. The calculation and payment of field notes and samples also belong to your core tasks.
  • In addition, you will also collaborate on various projects in the area of digitalization and work simplification on various aspects from pricing over product details to our webshop.
Profile
  • A bachelor/master level of education or equivalent through experience. We also like to offer opportunities to starters, so be sure to give us a call if you just got your diploma!
  • Strong analytical skills. Multiple analyses are required and require a detailed, as well as analytical interest.
  • Interested in all things food related so you can think along with the Sales colleagues and their customers.
  • A positive and commercially minded force who can handle him/herself in a sales and marketing environment.
  • Strong administrative and communication skills. The Microsoft Office package has no secrets for you!
  • You are planful & independent and meet your commitments.
  • You are conscientious, able to handle your administration punctually.
  • Knowledge of languages: Dutch and/or French + English
