THE RBFA AND BELGIAN FOOTBALLL

As the largest federation in the country, with more than half a million members, the Royal Belgian Football Association represents 4,000 football clubs. Together with Voetbal Vlaanderen and the ACFF, the RBFA organises some 12,000 matches per weekend, including, of course, the national teams’ matches. The Belgian Red Devils and the Red Flames are our ambassadors.

Our entire team of 180 employees will soon be moving to a brand new building near the Proximus Basecamp in Tubize. Perhaps you will be one of them?

For our Technical Direction, we are looking for a motivated person to take on the role of

Health and performance coordinator (M/F/X)

THIS WILL BE YOUR POSITION

The health and performance department of the RBFA is in charge of the wellbeing, medical health and performance optimization for the technical department of the RBFA. The departments consists of all medical staff, mental coaches, performance coaches, chefs, nutritionists etc.

As a health and performance coordinator you are part of the Sports Department and reporting to the Technical Direction of the RBFA.

Main responsibilities of your job:

• You coordinate the health and performance department of the RBFA and are responsible for the long term strategy of the department;
• You’re responsible for the constitution of a high performane (para)medical staff in men’s and women’s football, referee department, detection etc. (doctor, physio, physical coach, sports scientist, masseur, mental coach,…) ;
• You create a pool of potential reinforcements for our health and performance department;
• You lead task forces with experts in different areas (sports psychology, data science, medicine, …) ;
• You manage the material and devices of the health and performance department like physio equipment, recovery devices (Normatech, Game Ready), GPS, Heart monitoring etc. ;
• You manage the budget of the health and performance in collaboration with the technical direction;
• You build strong relationships with the Pro League, ACFF, VV and the different departments of the RBFA;
• You’re always aware of the latest evolutions in sports and apply them where they can give an added value.

• You have a medical or paramedical background;
• You’re able to develop a long term strategy in health and performance in collaboration with the technical Direction;
• You’re strong in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners;
• You’re experienced in working in an elite sports environment;
• You can lead a team of highly educated staff members;
• You’re happy to work in a flexible schedule including weekends;
• You have a driver’s license and your own car;

• You have a good knowledge of Dutch, French and English;
