IT Finance Controller

To support Zurich’s growing business, we are seeking to strengthen our IT department with a IT Finance Controller in our Diegem offices in Belgium.
The IT Finance Controller will be responsible for all accounting related activities, tracking daily financial tasks, ensuring financial stability and preparing financial reports. It will also be responsible for the accuracy and data integrity of the monthly financial close.

Key Accountabilities

  • Finance and Budget management (budget planning, resources allocation calculations, monthly accruals, actuals, invoices handling, controls and corrections in SAP, Intercompany recharges etc.)
  • Financial reconciliation and handling of expense reports as well as from a performance view
  • Creating and implementing new processes when needed. Ensuring all general existing financial processes are well formalized, documented and updated.
  • Follow-up on the different audit controls monthly/quarterly/semi-annually/annually and ensure all actions are closed on time.
  • Update the projects portfolio and Plainview when needed; ensure if changes in processing of the quarterly invoice are easy to implement from financial side too.
  • Establish a valued channel of communication with all the different stakeholders
  • Balance sheet reporting, analysis, reconciliations and control
  • Ensure tasks performed adhere to the internal control framework
  • Prepare proactively reporting/slides for Senior Management meetings such as Strategic Committee, OPS Board, etc.
  • Keep management proactively informed of anything that might have impact on budget and support project teams with their budget management, informing management of any deviation

Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of financial reporting and the closing process
  • Knowledge of financial systems & business platforms (SAP mainly)
  • Financial data processing
  • Proficiency of the Office suite, in particular Excel and PowerPoint, and Power Apps skills would be desirable
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel and to work in a pressured environment with conflicting priorities and without continuous supervision
  • Dealing with confidential information in a diplomatic style
  • Fluency in English
  • Autonomy and proactivity
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills for effective communication with a wide range/multitude of contacts
