ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a strongManager to join our Media Relations team within our international Corporate Communications team in Brussels, Belgium. You love the thrill of the pitch, building relationships with media, and constantly immersing yourself in current events. As a Manager, you will have the opportunity to work on various top tier clients in various sectors (Technology and telecoms, energy, healthcare, food and agriculture, financial services), focusing on business-critical issues such as sustainability.

Key responsibilities

· Nurture, maintain and further develop strong media and influencer (e.g., advocates, bloggers/vloggers and other relatable voices) relationships that deliver international, trade/vertical and Brussels/EU affairs media and social coverage

·Proactively generate story ideas and topic angles, draft media materials, pitch media to land earned coverage

· Follow industry issues that directly and indirectly affect the client and distil meaningful, actionable insights from media coverage

· Develop strategic messaging for clients and support the creation of media plans and proposals that take an integrated approach to drive awareness with target audiences

· Provide thoughtful recommendations for asset creation and distribution across multiple channels to support integrated storytelling

· Highlight results, measure success and promote wins and key learnings to client

·Actively participate in agency development and assist with new business

Qualifications

· 3 to 6 years of relevant experience with media relations in one or some of the following sectors: technology and telecoms, energy, healthcare, food and agriculture, financial services (Focus on technology and/or healthcare is an ideal)

·Experience within another consultancy/agency is ideal

· Knowledge of communications trends relating to one or some of the above-listed sectors

·Experience managing junior team members and liaising with senior client contacts

·Ability to plan, organize, monitor and control projects and programs, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and creative resources
