START: ASAP (December) 2021

DURATION: 12 Month Project – Potential Extension / Permanent

LOCATION: South Belgium, South Brussels

I am contacting you as my client are currently looking for a Mechanical project engineer to join their project on a 12-month freelance basis. They have a large TA happening in 2022 and need someone to join their team to start with the upgrade of their plant.

The client is working on heavy industry process plant projects, carrying out multiple large-scale upgrades on one of their process lines (Steel Production). The candidate will be working on a 50-million-euro revamp project but taking on multiple packages of works at one time ranging from 100K EUR to 2Million EUR.

MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER

· Mechanical Engineering professional (Piping, valves, pumps etc)

· Process Plant Projects delivery experience (ideally onshore process plants, plant revamps)

· Experience constructing packages such as piping, flanges, valves, mechanical structures

· Knowledge of isometrics, data sheet population, P&IDs, mechanical layout, design model review

· Ability to pick up and deliver work packages, liaise with EPC contractor for delivery

· Client-side experience is very beneficial, site-based experience is also beneficial

· English (French is a benefit)

· VCA or similar Belgium equivalent

This will involve, supplier design analysis, document reviews, some design work, method statements and experience working on Turn Arounds / Shutdowns. It will also be advantageous to have experience working on piping layouts and piping as well as mechanical installations.
