Role Description

We are looking for a Monitoring & Control Product Manager, you will report to the Director of Video Network Processing.


As Video Network Control & Monitoring Manager you will be responsible for the lifecycle, roadmap and commercial success of Synamedia’s Video Network Service Manager (VSM). The VSM is the Monitoring and Control suite providing a powerful set of tools for configuring, monitoring, and managing Synamedia’s Video Network Solutions for Service and Media Provider’s OTT Streaming and Broadcast applications for live, VOD and time shifted premium video content.


You will work closely together with our Video Network product and solution managers in the team to ensure the suite offers all the bells and whistles to provide simplified deployment on-prem or in-cloud, operation, resiliency and analytics for our customers’ live, VOD and recording workflows. You will also closely work with the agile engineering teams to drive a roadmap aligned with the business priorities and be responsible for creating relevant collateral and communicating and training the sales and resellers on the products value proposition and positioning against competition. The OTT and broadcast solution architects will be key partners to bring in thought leadership into the video service manager. For the main part, your day-to-day activities will be inbound facing through working with the agile engineering and operation teams to release product on the market. About 25% of your job might be outbound facing through working with customer, sales and industry partners.


Requirements:

  • Build requirements and roadmap for our Video Network end-to-end management system. The focus of this product is on offering features that extremely simplify the deployment, operation and analytics gathering for the cloud-native workflows our customers will run on their hybrid public and/or private cloud infrastructure
  • Have the ability to highlight the unique value the product brings our customers to quickly launch video workflows for 24/7, event-based or disaster recovery operations
  • Actively participate to product core teams, in relationship with Product Owners, Architects, Engineers, Customer Success Engineering, Sales, Support and other teams
  • Maintain and develop Sales and Marketing collaterals, create white papers, conference papers and other marketing material
  • Perform Competitive Positioning and Analysis and define and continuously evaluate the how to beat needs and values
  • Work with Reseller, Pre-sales and Sales teams on key project activities
  • Assist with 3rd partnerships that make solutions complete end-to-end
  • Support customer visits /engagements and trade show activities
  • B.S in Engineering, Business, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of Product Owner/Product Management experience required
  • Strong knowledge in Broadcast and OTT video streaming solutions
  • Experience with REST API, cloud native architectures, datacenter and cloud deployments
  • Good understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models.
  • Good communication skills to interface with product-related internal/external customers
  • Strong writer and public speaker in front of large groups
  • The candidate must be customer / business-minded and demonstrate a can-do attitude
  • Ability and willingness to do regular traveling for business needs
  • Being fluent in English is mandatory
  • Comfortable using office, collaboration and CRM tools such as Teams, Sharepoint, JIRA
