Network Architect - Senior

Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with significant experience on following technologies.

• 
  Wireless 802.11
• Network routing/switching infrastructure and associate components - preferably Cisco.
• Expertise in routing protocols - BGP, EIGRP - and VRF
• Software Defined Networking (API, Automation, Network Controller, Process Orchestrator)
• Programming: Python, Go, Script.
• Network Security
• Network related applications (IPAM, DNS, ISE, ...)
• Network monitoring tools
• Experience on Viptela is a plus

Candidates should as well have a thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking and communications networking protocols

This position can be based in Belgium/Brussels or UK/Coventry

Key Responsibilities
You will:

• Produce high level and low-level designs for WAN, LAN, WLAN architectures
• Lead network deployment project that will include coordinating efforts from internal and external resources
• Lead projects as well in their financial, process, documentation and communication perspectives
• Provide network support and maintenance on Cisco switches and routers in a very complex international network landscape
• Troubleshoot FedEx & TNT EU field networks (1000+ facilities) in coordination with local field IT
• Maintain a set of network tools and appliances (DNS, IPAM, DHCP, wireless controllers, ISE, …)
• Troubleshoot application behaviour based on traffic analysis and traffic capture
• Provide guidance to junior team members and FedEx field IT members

Ideal candidate & Qualifications
Candidates should have at least a bachelor in IT or equivalent and 10 years of IT relevant experience. Candidates should also be comfortable working in both a team and individual environments, possess good problem solving, good analytical mind, communications skill sets and should be fluent in English.
Selected individual will be part of the FedEx EU Network & Voice Engineering IT team based in Coventry and Brussels.
