ENGIE Laborelec is a leading expertise and research centre in electrical power technology. Drawing on the skills of 300 highly specialised engineers and technicians, the company is active on the whole electricity value chain and backs a large set of customers in the fields of generation, transmission, distribution, storage and final use of electricity, with a particular focus upon the energy transition and the 3 D’s - decentralisation, decarbonisation and digitalisation.

Power & Infra Business Line

The Power & Infra Business Line is responsible for the sales, growth and delivery of Laborelec’s activities towards the Power Generation industry and Grid operators in Europe.

It offers, manages and realizes multidisciplinary projects leveraging the expertise and services from other expert teams of Laborelec, entities of the group ENGIE or external parties.

This includes products, technical assistance and applied research related to the energy value chain.

It is our goal to position Laborelec’s’ activities as a technical solution provider within the complete electrical supply value chain. Our customers expect us to accompany them in the energy transition and come up with solutions and services accordingly.

A particular important group of customers are the operators of the electricity and gas transmission and distribution networks. These Grid operators rely on Laborelec for applied research, our technical expertise and specialized lab support. To strengthen our team, ENGIE Laborelec is looking for aProduct Manager Grids.

Your mission

In this new position, you will manage Grids products and services, from concept to design, including:

  • Acting as intermediary between product development teams and the commercial organization;
  • Developing an designing technical value propositions with a focus on pricing, position and product;
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by continuing personal contact with customers and prospective customers;
  • Setting a long-term vision and strategy for the B2B product portfolio;
  • Developing a B2B product roadmap explaining the “why” behind the products you’re building;
  • Developing and implementing a go-to-market plan, and working with all departments to execute it;
  • Balancing the needs of customers and stakeholders;
  • Analysing potential partner relationships for the product;
  • Communicating the strategy to all relevant participants and stakeholders.

The Product Manager has a customer proximity of around 30%.

Qualifications

You have:

  • An engineering or marketing degree.
  • A B2B commercial/business profile with a strong technology thread.
  • 5 to 10 years relevant experience in B2B product and business development.
  • A strong focus on the energy transition roadmap.

You are:

  • You are customer oriented, entrepreneurial and are strongly motivated to develop new activities.
  • You are a federating team player.
  • You are a strong facilitator.
  • You have excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • You are fluent in English, French and Dutch.
