About The Job

As Production Planning Manager UHT you will work for the Plant Based brand (Alpro) and define the optimal production allocation over the different UHT production lines on the short term horizon (13 weeks). You will execute this plan together with your team of Short Term Production Planners (4) and other stakeholders in the company. You are part of the EU4 supply chain organization in Zwevegem and report to the Int. Supply Planning Manager.

As Production Planning Manager UHT the next responsibilities are part of your job

• As an empathetic team leader, you coach and support your team in their daily planning activities, you grow them for a future step and you navigate them through the various change projects along the road. You step in where needed to guarantee the continuity of all activities. You are the first contact point in case of planning questions/processes.
• With and end-to-end approach in mind, you and your team create the optimal MPS (Master Production Schedule) of different UHT product categories for a 13 week horizon taking in account production, proximity-to-market, storage, logistic and repacking constraints. By becoming an expert in the functioning of the planning tool (OMP), you govern that decisions are correctly translated in the tool. You help advising on raw material and packaging tactics based on (changed) production network decisions. Next to the 13 weeks horizon, you will also build an extended view on EU4 repacking activities for the next 12 months. In case of bottlenecks in the above planning activities, you co-build on solutions with stakeholders from EU MT/LT Supply Planning, Production, Logistics, Activity Management, Quality, etc.
• You will play a key role in communicating and bringing visibility on the status of individual SKU and product categories to the representatives of the different markets, especially in cases of CSL and scrap impact. Therefore you will liaise with your colleagues from Production and Quality to bring the full picture. You will manage punctual supply issues and align with involved markets on appropriate prioritization.
• You participate in the InnoPro process (NPI/NPD) by co-building on the right planning tactics for new product launches (MTO/MTS, production frequency, …) while balancing service, cost, cash and freshness of our products. For promo volumes being requested in the MPS horizon, you will be the contact point to check on feasibility (timing, volumes, …) based on current activity level.
• You go the extra mile on customer satisfaction and value creation. You identify improvement opportunities and lead supply planning projects (CSL improvement, scrap decrease, working capital reduction, network optimization,...) as well as collaborate on broader company projects (operational efficiency, ideal planning, …).
  

About You

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have

• A Master degree (engineer, TEW,...) or at least equivalent by experience.
• A first experience in coordinating and leading a team and/or project management.
• High affinity in supply chain with min. 3-5 years experience in an international context.
• Good knowledge of SAP/OMP is a must.
• Project management skills and a structured approach.
• The ability to work cross-functional and look for compromises.
• A diplomatic and empathic approach, with the ability to make sure that stakeholders meet their deadlines (convincing skills).
• You are able to be leader in weekly meetings with counterparts of Danone CBU’s.
• You have a dynamic and enthusiastic personality, you like to take initiative and can work very independently.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• You are a strong communicator, in Dutch and English
