About The Role

As a Sales & Business Development Manager you are expected to achieve sustainable business targets according to the strategy through developing, managing and serving selected Key customers and or markets. In this combined role you will be an important part of the AAK journey to generate rapid growth of the Natural Emulsifiers business, by establishing new customers and integrate the Natural Emulsifiers into AAK’s global GTM organization, initiating and supporting Customer Centric solutions.*Please populate with brief overview of the role*

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing and developing markets and/or accounts that are using or could use lecithin to improve AAK’s position, market share and profitability.
  • Setting and executing the commercial strategy for the assigned markets and/or accounts and/or regions to achieve the planned growth of the company
  • Develop sales plans, activities, and campaigns in order to implement the organisation’s overall sales strategy for an assigned geography, product line, market segment, or list of customer accounts
  • Support and drive AAK’s values, tools and terminology within the organization to ensure a seeming less communication and cooperation with AAK sites, business units and locations
  • Negotiate sales with existing and new customers who are of strategic importance to the organisation, and contribute to the development of sales, pricing, and distribution strategies for area of responsibility
  • Drive growth by analysing market size, key success criteria, opportunities and challenges, competition, and extrapolate into strategic steps
  • Interact with internal (sales coordinator, customer innovation manager, logistic manager and business development managers from other segments) and external (strategic buyers, R&D, customer supply chain etc.) partners to achieve strategic goals, personal KPI’s and Customer satisfaction

About You
  • Bachelor’s degree, Business Studies or an equivalent qualification
  • CCV knowledge is an asset
  • Ability to speak English fluently and at least one other language will be an advantage. (French, Spanish)
  • Proven sales experience in the food industry (2-7 years)
  • Willingness to travel a significant % of your time, and occasionally work outside regular office hours when needed.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills, both virtual as well as in person.
  • Industry knowledge is an asset
