We are looking for a software engineer who strives for quality when bringing true value and an exceptional user experience to our customers to join our On-Premises tribe at SWIFT, the tribe developing on-premises products that connect businesses to financial networks globally.

Based in Belgium, you will be working as a member of a dynamic team that is responsible for end-to-end delivery – from customer engagement to operations.

As a driving force of technological change, our On-Premises tribe operates in a truly agile way. You will have a unique opportunity to expand your reach in term of knowledge and network, and to build your expertise through SWIFT’s global platform.

What To Expect

You will design, develop, test (including automated integration and regression) and integrate new features, components and improvements to compliance products.

You will use a range of proven technologies, topped off with ample room for experimentation for example in the area of container orchestration and distributed architectures, to bring true value to our customers. Technologies involved are for example Java, Maven, Jenkins, JBoss, XML, Docker and Kafka.

You will be exposed to the financial business and its global networks.

You will have the opportunity to be and develop yourself as well as others as engineers covering software architecture, development, quality assurance, security, operations and IT infrastructure aspects.

You will work in a truly international environment with main hubs across 3 continents.

Technical Skills

• Expert engineer with 6+ years of experience.
• Expertise in test-driven development and test-driven design.
• Expertise in Java 11 and frameworks such as JEE or Spring.
• Experience with a microservices architecture, API gateway, distributed architectures such as Kafka or Spark.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Familiar with SQL and/or NoSQL databases such as Oracle.
• Knowledge of Linux.
• Knowledge of continuous delivery process and technologies such as Docker and Jenkins.
