About The Role

Responsabilities

The On-Premises Testing team is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to contribute to the delivery of on premises customer-facing applications to the global financial community, with an emphasis on quality.

The team is split over two locations: La Hulpe and Mechelen. The successful candidate should expect to travel between those two locations regularly, but with base location Mechelen.

Responsabilities:
  • You will participate in the analysis, design, specification, development, benchmarking, and delivery of production software. While doing so, you use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design and promote good engineering practices, such as testability, accessibility, scalability and performance.
  • You will develop complex test strategies based on documented functional/business requirements
  • You will develop a wide variety of automated tests scenarios and integrate those in a continuous delivery workflow
  • You will contribute to the maintenance of the testing infrastructure
  • You will contribute to the evolution of the testing framework
  • You will have the opportunity to develop yourself and others in a true BizDevOps agile environment; engaging in the product evolution, covering software architecture, development, quality assurance, security, operations and IT infrastructure aspects.
  • You will work in a truly international environment with main hubs across three continents. We have global reach and impact but operate fast as we are a relatively small company.

Qualifications

Professional skills and competencies:
  • Autonomous, driven, with strong ability to quickly adapt and respond to change.

  • Open-minded, solutions oriented, and a true team player – gaining energy through collaboration with others.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Technical skills and knowledge:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other related discipline
  • 4+ years of experience in software and systems development or testing; relevant exposure to development, integration or functional testing of highly scalable, resilient and secure software
  • Experience translating complex business and technical requirements to detailed test strategies
  • Hands on experience with Unix/Linux OS including strong knowledge of system administration
  • Experience in continuous integration and deployment using Jenkins, GIT, Ansible
  • Development/scripting experience using Java, Python, Perl
  • Hands on database expertise to include Oracle, Cassandra DBs
  • Test automation experience is a must
  • Experience with APIs, REST, Selenium, Robot Framework is an asset
  • Prior SWIFT messaging exposure is an asset
