As a System Engineer you will maintain the current infrastructure and help improve the set-up. This means that you will oversee networks, workstations, servers & hardware, support of users, implementation and management of internal software systems, …

In other words, you’ll be responsible for:
  • The design of the Linux & Windows environments
  • The execution of system management tasks (patching, monitoring, backups...)
  • Offering support in the switch to cloud technology (Azure)
  • Contributing to the security policy and the execution accordingly
  • Help maintaining the internal tools (Dynamics CRM, MS Project, Atlassian Jira/Confluence)

You will be part of a fun and close team, each with their own focus (e.g., security, application management, ...). The team works in an agilemanner.

Your interest and skills

Since you will be working closely with the business and be part of a medium-sized team, we place great importance on your communication skills. You like to take initiativeand being innovativefeels like your second nature. Working independently does not scare you and you find accuracy and quality as important as we do. You can express yourself fluently in English.

Furthermore, we’d love to see the following things reflected in your profile:
  • You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in IT, or a solid background in this matter. You can look back on several years of experience as a System Engineer.
  • You have a strong interest in all round IT-support: hardware, Linux & Windows, networks, firewalls,...
  • You have a strong focus on automation, monitoring and configuration management.
  • Experience with firewalls (Fortinet), VMWare and/or O365 is a plus.
