The Role


As Technical Support Specialist / Expert, it will be your mission to solve complex technical issues and to represent the service division during the development projects of new products. You will ensure we understand our customer’s needs and that we provide the equipment and services to support those needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Offering 3rd line technical support in solving complex technical issues at customer site. As such, your main point of contact will be the local support specialist who takes care of the 2nd line support. You may be required to go on-site if problems cannot be solved locally.
  • Continuously improve the product quality by a proactive reporting follow up. This includes analyzing warranty reports, failure reports and the behavior of our connected equipment. You are the driving force in the technical committee meetings (TCM) and participate in the product quality meetings (PQM)
  • Play an active role in the product development to assure the highest level of serviceability and lowest lifecycle cost by giving a strong involvement in the project team meetings (PTM and PCM)
  • Develop and provide technical training, troubleshooting guidelines, video instructions, … in line with our divisional strategy.
  • Collaboration with different departments (marketing, engineering, production, ...)

You will report to the technical support manager.

  • Although this vacancy is posted in the national job market, we foresee a local+ contract for international candidates for this position.


What we expect of you?


Educational:

  • Bachelor / Master in engineering or equivalent through experience.

Experience:

  • Technical affinity is a must. Experience with refrigerant technology, compressed air installations, air treatment products, ... is considered a strong plus.
  • Software skills: MS Office, SharePoint, …

Knowledge:

  • You are fluent in English, both spoken and written, for collaboration in multinational teams. An additional language is considered a plus.
  • Technical knowledge of compressors or air treatment products is considered a strong plus.

Personal:

  • You are customer oriented and have a strong drive to solve issues as quickly as possible.
  • A pragmatic approach to new challenges and the ability to rapidly switch tasks depending on priorities.
  • Working as part of a team to find the best solution to a challenge.
  • Driving your own work and willing to take on new projects and bigger tasks when the opportunity arises.
  • You are eager to learn.
  • Short trips abroad are not a problem for you.
