Are you passionate about international trade? Do you want to be part of a young and dynamic team in a growing business area? The Atlas Copco Power Technique Business Area (PTBA) is looking for a motivated Trade Compliance Manager for EMEA region with a continuous improvement mentality.

This role is an exciting opportunity if you want to play a critical role to help building the Trade Compliance programme for the Power Technique Business Area and in supporting the enhancement of our trade compliance activities across the globe, with focus on EMEA region.

As PTBA Trade Compliance Manager – EMEA you will report to the PTBA Trade Compliance Lead.


Mission:

  • Implement the Group’s trade compliance policies and procedures within the Power Technique Business Area of Atlas Copco in EMEA region
  • Make sure PTBA trade activities in EMEA region are compliant with import/export, customs and trade sanctions regulations
  • Establish tools and integrated system solutions to manage trade preference and application of Free Trade Agreements (FTA) within the Power Technique Business Area


Main responsibilities:

  • Implement and enforce Group trade compliance policies and procedures relating to:
    • Classification and import/export controls, including licensing requirements
    • Trade preference management
    • Trade embargo and sanctioned party screening
  • Provide operational support and subject matter advice on trade compliance to PTBA entities in EMEA region
  • Develop local policies and procedures to ensure import/export activities are in full compliance with internal policy and government regulations
  • Assess whether imports/exports qualify for any applicable Free Trade Agreements, Special Trade Provisions/Claims or other duty savings opportunities
  • Contribute to the implementation of the SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) solution for Trade Preference management and represent the Power Technique Business Area in the GTS project team.
  • Provide training to relevant departments to maintain awareness of trade compliance requirements and changes
  • Perform internal audits to assess trade compliance risks, implement process improvements and report findings to leadership
  • Assess results from sanctioned party screening, conduct further due diligence where appropriateand advise the business on trade compliance risks
  • Lead or collaborate on initiatives contributing to the continuous improvement of the process and/or systems to comply with import/export regulations
  • Interact with the Global Trade compliance team of PTBA, and liaise with position counterparts in other regions in the world


Qualifications:

  • Higher degree or similar in a relevant field (e.g. international business and trade, supply chain, logistics, etc.) or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in trade compliance
  • Deep understanding and working knowledge of country-of-origin rules and regulations (preferential / non-preferential origin determination) and application of international trade agreements
  • Working experience applying international customs and export control laws and regulations
  • Familiar with customs classification, dual use as well as denied party screening.
  • Understanding of supply chain/logistics processes and international trade systems and associated software (e.g. SAP, GTS) is seen as an advantage.
  • You have an eye for detail and are customer-focused
  • You are self-motivated and are able to independently bring projects to completion.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills (English is a must).
