As a Utility Engineer (*) at Zwijndrecht plant you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

  • Identifying, recommending, and implementing programs to improve: process environmental effectiveness and product cost, service, and quality.
  • Daily follow-up and technical assistance to the Utility department.
  • Using the Lean Six Sigma methodology to monitor and improve the manufacturing processes.
  • Taking the lead in coordinating continuous improvement projects (of processes and installations) by means of proper project management.
  • Implementing data automation to drive automated actions and allowing the operator to make intelligent, informed decisions.
  • Supporting reliability and predictive programs to predict health equipment before failure or issue.
  • Utilizing technology and data across the space of customer, supplier, and manufacturing to create valuable information and taking action to optimize processes.

Your Skills And Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Master Degree in Engineering Sciences with a good knowledge of energy systems & techniques.
  • Computer Science, electrical & mechanical engineering as well as materials engineering are good competencies.
  • Knowledge of statistics, process, and safety techniques.
  • Result-oriented, creative, pro-active, flexible, an independent worker with strong communication skills, able to work in a team and with other 3M departments.
  • Fluently written and spoken Dutch and English.
