Lhoist Business Innovation Center located inNivelles,35 km from Brussels, is lookingfor Junior Market Analyst – Non-Ferrous (VIE). In the framework of a V.I.E. project (volontariat international en entreprise), you will be working with a team of experts during 1 year with a possibility of renewal and hire. About The Position

As a Junior Market Analyst Non-Ferrous, the role will be a hybrid role including three key components: (1) Market intelligence about the key extractive metallurgy applications for copper, gold, alumina, nickel, and lithium commodities, (2) Laboratory-based test work and reporting including in lithium conversion and calcium chemistry, and (3) Project management and reporting of ongoing technical support projects to regional commercial teams.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • Working independently in laboratory setting and collaboratively with laboratory technicians
  • Data interpretation and reporting
  • Market intelligence gathering and extraction of most valuable actionable business information
  • Working within a globally dispersed team in different time zones
About You
  • Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Metallurgical Processing
  • Interested in market analysis and/or having a scientific background.
  • Willing to learn and a very good team player
  • Self-starter, autonomous
  • Ability to work within a non-regimented environment and the ability to develop into the role
  • Good knowledge of Excel, Power Point, MS project, and ability to quickly learn new software
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential, Spanish would be a plus
