Our client is a Belgian leader in the food sector. To support their growth, the company is looking for a Client/Product Relation Manager Food & Beverages (Coffee, Wine, Sandwich Spreads & Cheese) .

As the Client/Product Relation Manager, you are the point of contact between the Food & Beverages internal clients AND the production team. You will the key person for dealing with operations establishing collaborations with the stakeholders and participate in the further development of the commercial / production management.   • Our Client produces food and beverages, and delivers them to their 4 major retailers. As the Client/Product Relation Manager you are the point of contact for 4 Business Units (Coffee, Wine, Sandwich Spreads & Cheese).
  • You participate in networking in a structured way with various departments of the company, including assortment management and product development. With this knowledge, you consult with the people responsible for the various stores, such as product plant managers and buyers. You actively seek ways to improve existing partnerships with the retailers and to establish new ones. You advise and inspire them. In addition, you convince them of the many advantages of working with the production departments.
  • You ensure that a clear framework is in place between the Retailers and Production and that it is regularly updated to ensure the smooth running of the collaboration. You will develop a commercial policy for the specific group of products (Coffee, Wine, Sandwich Spreads & Cheese), taking into account market trends, positioning, opportunities, etc. And you will contribute to the realization and strengthening of the strategic plan of the partners : Retailers & Production BU.
  • You will regularly visit our production sites in Wallonia and the larger area around Ghent.

exigences de l’emploi

  • At least 10 years of experience in a sales, production or purchasing function, or experience as a manager. You have experience in the world of coffee, cheese, sandwich spreads or wine. You are willing to learn in the short term.
  • Excellent team player - a real builder, both in customer relations and in organization. You also enjoy sharing your knowledge with your colleagues. This makes you a reliable and mature partner for your stakeholders.
  • You work proactively, you are solution-oriented and make improvements where necessary.
  • You figure out quickly how to approach things within the organization. You consult easily with your stakeholders and communicate clearly and convincingly.
  • You possess over a good dose of empathy and can seize up your stakeholders - from marketing, training, sales, purchasing - and are able to easily generate their enthusiasm.
  • You are an excellent communicator, you like contacts and building relations, you are a true diplomat
  • Having a strong commercial profile, you are persistent in convincing others in a consensus culture
  • You have a strong interest in the technical & production aspects of the food & beverages world
  • You have a strong analytical mind that allows you to easily distinguish the essential from the secondary. You know how to set the right priorities. You are an expert in organization and planning, have experience in process-oriented entrepreneurship and always keep an eye on the big picture.
  • You like to benchmark the products with competition
  • Ideally bilingual French & Dutch, with a minimum of 70% proficiency in Dutch/French as second language - which enables you to communicate easily with your stakeholders.
