Objectives:

As the Treasury Manager - EMEA, you will lead the Europe Middle East & Africa (EMEA) treasury team’s execution of the corporate strategies in the areas of cash management, banking relationships, intercompany liquidity, foreign exchange risk management, working capital initiatives, short-term investments, and management of counterparty credit exposure. You will cultivate a learning environment for the finance team by providing training opportunities (internal assignments, cross-functional opportunities, and external resources) to prepare the team for the challenges they will encounter. Additionally, you will engage the senior EMEA leadership team related to sources and uses of cash, resource optimization and fostering an investment culture.

Responsibilities include the following(other duties may be assigned as needed):

  • Set regional goals/metrics to prioritize process improvement initiatives for the Europe Middle East & Africa (EMEA) treasury team with an emphasis on leveraging global technology platforms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions supporting cash management operations.
  • Ensure adequate liquidity for capital investments, working capital needs, and invest short-term excess cash within the region; manage intercompany cash including intercompany lending, dividends, and capital injections.
  • Develop, implement and maintain regional bank account structures as well as payment platforms.
  • In support of maintaining a low cost of capital for the corporation, partner with business leaders and finance operations to develop financing programs and discounting strategies for suppliers and customers.
  • Prioritize the development and training of the team to meet challenges in evolving market conditions.
  • Partner with the senior EMEA leadership team to expand their understanding of how to impact ROI for the region, including benefits of cash management and sources and uses of cash.
  • Collaborate across EMEA finance organization, examples of key initiatives include:
    • Develop with FP&A team longer-range balance sheet and cash flow forecast models.
    • Work with Accounting to identify and leverage Treasury Workstations to streamline month-end processes.
    • Support M&A team in due diligence and integration processes.
    • Partner with Credit and Collections to ensure adequate bonds, guarantees, and letters of credit facilities are in place, where appropriate, and identify options to streamline the process.
  • Partner with corporate treasury to:
    • Expand the notional pool structure to a more global platform.
    • Develop and execute appropriate hedging strategies to manage the company’s foreign exchange risks.
  • Establish and maintain a strong internal control environment.

Technical Competencies:

  • Established experience with treasury and accounting systems (e.g. Integrity Treasury workstation, SWIFT, Isabel, Oracle or similar systems).
  • Knowledge of FX risk management, banking services and corporate cash management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial analysis concepts.
  • Expertise with bank software applications.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience in project management or technology implementations preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required; Master’s degree and/or advanced certification preferred.
  • Minimum 8-10 years experience with increasing responsibilities in Finance/Accounting/Project Management/Treasury Operations (not specific to manufacturing environment).
  • English language skills required. Other languages are a plus.
