OVERVIEW of ROLE

Carmeuse’s multi-generation digital strategy has identified need for digitalization of Carmeuse Manufacturing Operations to make it ready for the next generation Industry 4.0. Digitalization of our operations will address the pain points across the lime value chain starting from mining, material processing, lime production, maintenance, quality all the way to dispatch (including S&OP and network optimization) to unlock efficiency gains, productivity improvement including health and safety

The Digital Operations Business Lead will lead the program for concept to end user adoption in successfully driving business outcome for Operations. This includes defining a clear strategy and roadmap that will maximize value realization both short-term and long-term.

Job Description

As Business Lead you will be also responsible for coordinating between BPO’s; OT teams; Plant teams and IT/Digital teams in driving a collective outcome for the Digital Ops project in respective region. You will be partnering up with regional business leads in shaping vision for an integrated solution and supporting change management during implementation.

The Digital Ops program will have three phases and below are the responsibilities of Business lead during each stage:

Stage 1: Initiation phase:

Work with BPOs to define current problem statement, target goal and functional requirements for respective focus area (QUALITY, EMS, MAINTENANCE, PRODUCTION, SUPPLY CHAIN, HSE) that will address the business needs for short, medium, and long term. This prioritization will aid in phasing the Digital Operations Implementation, tackling the highest priority pain points, and balancing the requirements of all stakeholders.

Collaborate with BPOs in validating value proposition and benefits identified in the Digital Ops business case for their focus area and help identify and down select technology vendors that will address the needs of each focus areas including defining a vendor evaluation criterion.

Stage 2: Implementation phase:
  • Use expertise to proactively advise on implementation strategy if needed. Report on communication-, Quality- & Risk management.
  • Aid digital implementation teams in understanding lime production systems and point out most important data tags.
  • Make sure the implemented solutions meet the requirements as defined in listed deliverables
  • Define and organize training plans for all users.

Stage 3: User Adoption for Pilot Plants & Continuous Improvement Needs:

Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance, benefits/value post-launch to evaluate future improvement needs. Gather feedback from Operational teams from Plant & Corporate and drive change management. Define a strategy guiding the role out process through Carmeuse globally

QUALIFICATION
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, Maters Preferred.
  • 4~5 years professional experience (Min 2 yrs. in managing Complex Digital Projects)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ambitious, hardworking, reliable, and creative.
  • Communicate effectively with the team, on site and executive level
  • Drives a data driven approach in decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional delivery teams
  • Knowledge of operations & maintenance system in Process industry and/or manufacturing industry is preferable
  • English is a must, French is a plus.
