SUMMARY

• Assist in driving process and cost improvement programs
• Support EMEA freight financials
• Assist the Replenishment Freight & Direct Freight organization by performing analysis on actual network, transport processes resulting in optimization of cost and processes
• Actively support the implementation of the EMEA Transportation Strategy
• Use the EMS Strategy to gain efficiency within the EMEA Replenishment & Distribution Flows
• Actively support transport sustainable programs to promote Baxter’s SC Corporate environmental strategy
• Actively support the full GDP compliance for EMEA Transport Markets
  
  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance Activities:

• Support the monthly Freight reviews by providing monthly clear and updated dashboards for the review of Financials, KPI’s and projects/programs
• Provide EMEA financial support: monthly/weekly variations and Forecast/Budget preparation support
• Improve or install new measures to follow up on freight performances and accuracy
  
  

Replenishment & Direct Freight Analytics & support:

• Run KPI’s and analyze transportation performance & metrics
• Support freight projects and tenders by running analysis/simulations and calculate cost saving
• Assist in the optimization of the EMEA replenishment network between Manufacturing sites (11 plants) and between DC’s (16 DC/WH) in close collaboration with local Transport Managers, Planning teams & Warehouse teams
• Coordinate spot quotations and obtain quotations from the Baxter selected carriers in order to perform analysis, support projects and simulation programs
• Respect legal European transport regulations and make sure each transaction is in compliance with Baxter’s corporate export regulations.
• Assist in the implementation of the GDP Regulations for all EMEA Replenishment Activities
• Actively participate in CQA – SQA and other European driven EHS programs
• Ensure respect of existing processes and work on process improvements
• Assist in the roll-out of enhancement optimization programs with Top5 EMEA transportation providers
• Support the implementation of replenishment & Distribution transportation network strategies for the EMEA Region
• Active participation to Baxter corporate strategy in the environmental and alternative transportation field
• Ensure all possible synergies are achieved through the consolidation and effective leveraging of in & outbound transportation volumes across all businesses for raw materials and finish goods.
• Analyze transportation performance & metrics with carrier on operational level
• Advance a culture of continuous improvement and accountability by utilizing EMS Tools

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Analytic Skills
• Data management, data modeling (SQL), Retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources (ETL)
• Enabling effective decision making by setting up automated processes for large-scale data mining and data analysis (Machine learning, RPA),
• Strong analytical and coding skills (Python, Java, JavaScript, R) applied to a business context
• Implementing automated dashboards and KPIs for business reviews (Tableau),
• Predictive and prescriptive solutions/tools to optimize and prioritize deliveries between various entities( fulfillment centers, sort centers , delivery points)
  
  

Experience

• Deep knowledge of transport and storage asset, incoterms, import/export procedures and documents
• Financial literacy and statistical background
• Competence in setting up a data governance and E2E reporting framework
• Experience in displaying complex quantitative data in an intuitive and flexible format
• Strong team collaboration attitude and interpersonal skills, experience in multi-functional and international team
• Number of years of experience: 3 to 5 years
• Field of expertise: SC Logistics & Transportation
