In the context of growth, we are looking for a Senior HR Business Partner Corporate and Supporting Functions. The Senior HR Business Partner, to be recruited, will be responsible for managing the HR processes and policies for BekaertDeslee Belgium and leading the HR Team day-to-day.

The Belgian organization consists of 180 employees, working for the Supporting Functions of the BekaertDeslee Group (worldwide) and the European Headquarter. Bekaert Deslee is the world’s leading specialist in the development and manufacturing of mattress textiles, mattress covers and on trend sleep solutions with headquarters in Waregem. BekaertDeslee develops stylish and smart mattress fabrics that will inspire, comfort and protect you during the night. They are part of Haniel, a family equity company, based in Duisburg.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and monitor HR processes in Belgium
  • Align HR processes with business strategy
  • Manage efficient execution of the full employment cycle (Recruitment & selection; On-boarding/Off-boarding; employee performance, development & learning; Employee engagement; Comp. & Ben.)
  • Manage internal communication in Belgium through various channels
  • Create a team dedicated to excellence and set clear objectives for them
  • Advise the executive committee and other leaders in HR related matters
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government/social legislation

Your profile:

  • Holder of a master’s degree in HR or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as an HR generalist/ HR business partner in an international environment
  • Good knowledge of Belgian social legislation
  • Knowledge about GDPR and related personal information laws
  • Able to work with highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Able to multitask and self-prioritize
  • Professional knowledge of English (Dutch is an asset)
  • Experienced in working with SAP SuccessFactors is an asset
  • Creative with a positive mindset
  • Open & direct communication
  • Flexible
  • Excellent team -, people management -, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving capacity
  • Strategic thinking
