Job Description

As part of the Global Corporate Coverage team, work on delivering and originating profitable deal opportunities for the bank with the BeLux client base, hand in hand with product specialists, both at the head office level and with our clients’ subsidiaries across the 34 countries where Deutsche Bank is present. Business opportunities span over the whole treasury spectrum, including Lending, Risk Management, Lending, Trade Finance, Cash Management and Debt Capital Markets financing. Deutsche Bank’s BeLux client base are large multinational corporates both publically listed as well as privately-owned as well as both investment grade credits and non-investment grade clients.

You will attend the Deutsche Bank Analyst Graduate program and have the opportunity to perform rotations across product and credit teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Corporate banking relationship for BeLux Corporates clients and prospects
  • Assist senior bankers in business origination across Deutsche Bank’s solutions set and countries
  • Coordinate the contribution of different partners within the firm (Corporate Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Global Transaction Banking)
  • Ensuring in close cooperation with Local Relationship Management and product teams that Deutsche Bank is the provider of choice for clients and that all avenues for working with our client across different geographies and products are explored
  • Provide financial analysis, risk assessment and analytical support for clients’ situations
  • Owner of credit approval requests centrally and in-country – Liaise with Credit Risk Officers in the name of the product sales teams
  • Pro-actively maintain knowledge of the developments in the core product set to explore and refer opportunities
  • Maintain regular and frequent dialogue with product partners and global network to deliver against the client agenda
  • Produce best in class presentations to support the marketing effort
  • Involve senior management in key client presentations to emphasize alignment with Deutsche Bank’s commitment to build the business
  • Establishing and maintaining KYC profiles and other required client information in accordance with the Bank’s policies and procedures and ensuring on-time completeness of all client-related KYC requirements
  • Assisting team leaders to form viable business strategies, implementation plans, as well as prompt work process adjustments from time to time to adapt to changes in the market/regulatory environments
  • Owner of credit approval requests centrally and in-country – Liaise with Credit Risk Officers in the name of the product sales teams

  • Language skills: fluent in Dutch, French and English
  • Strong commitment to integrity, professionalism and teamwork

Qualifications and experience

  • A graduate to Master level (or relevant international equivalent)
  • Internship experience in an investment bank across one or more products and/or client facing coverage teams is a plus
