Job Summary


The Sr HRBP implements the EMEA HR strategy so that the Interventional Systems (TIS) Business Unit of Terumo, attracts, manages, develops and retains the employees it needs to achieve its current and future business objectives. You coach and manage the people management related topics and processes for multiple Sales & Marketing teams across Europe and the Clinical & Medical division in Leuven. You report to the HR Manager TIS in the HQ in Leuven, Belgium, who reports to our VP HR EMEA. As this is a role with an European/EMEA scope, 15 to 20% travel will be required in this role.


Job Responsibilities


1. Conceptualisation of HR systems & policies

As an HR professional, you provide HR services and drive the associates lifecycle processes and initiatives in order to optimally support your business group. Activities covering the associate lifecycle processes: Resourcing, Learning, Performance Management, Talent Management & Reward. You act as the HR contact for the associates and managers in the dedicated business and serve as a liaison between business and the HR expertise centers’. You assist and advise managers about HR topics. You take initiatives to support development, implementation and maintenance of HR systems and processes in TE and support the delivery of HR processes and policies on a day-to-day basis. You monitor the administration to established standards and procedures and ensures compliance with ISO 9001, 13485 and FDA requirements where relevant for HR.


2. Organisational development and change management

You manage or are a key contributor to EMEA HR Projects You Identify gaps, proposes and implements changes, in agreement with the HR Manager, necessary to cover potential Human resources risks You assist as a performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in the people management You challenges the organizational structure of your internal client and propose changes where necessary You keep the HR Management team informed of significant problems or not adequately addressed problems that jeopardize the achievement of company goals. In addition, you support the line management in the design of development and succession plans for key talents and key job positions.


3. HR result spheres

You work closely together with the Recruitment team and Learning & Development when needed. You Work closely with Compensation and Benefits to maintain an objective and competitive total remuneration framework. Monitors all pay practices and systems for effectiveness and cost containment.


4. Relationship

You build a good relationship with the teams you are supporting, the unions and external partners.


Profile Description


You have minimal 8 years’ of experience in a HRBP role, with an advanced knowledge in multiple HR area’s: Resourcing, Organisational design, Performance Management, Talent Management, Reward, Social Legislation…


You have previous experience in positions where you were responsible for different countries throughout Europe.


You are no stranger in a multicultural environment and feel at ease in a matrix organisation. You connect easily with different stakeholders across Europe. You like to set up winning relationships.


You have a proven track record in Project Management and Change Management Skills.


You are able to simplify complex problems, processes or projects into component parts, explore and evaluate them systematically.


You are able to identify causal relationships, and construct frameworks, for decision-making and problem solving.


Transforms proposals/ideas into practical reality.


You feel comfortable using digital HR applications (eg: SuccessFactors). You like to take initiative, set up an action plan and take ownership for the results.
