Job Overview and Responsibilities

Context

In recent years the Procurement organization went through transformational changes, moving from a regional lead to a global Procurement organisation. In this context the Corporate Performance central team was tasked to harmonize and standardize processes, tools and best practices across the Procurement family. The next step of this transformation is to have Procurement Performance supporting the BSA in its future challenges (maximize value creation, business growth through perfect supply, enhanced demand management, digital transformation, etc.)

Mission

To define, develop, deploy, adapt, and implement Group Procurement Performance strategic plan, models, systems and programs, to ensure the correct application, to propose and monitor KPI’s.
Significant focus on Variable Cost evolution, Fixed Cost control (within the framework of F2G) and Working Capital optimization and on contributing to the current projects on the Procurement side.

Role

Identify performance gaps vs targets together with performance opportunities and engage performance dialogues with BSA leaders (GBU & Domains) to report and develop action plans for her / his scope of responsibilities
Act as an internal consultant on Procurement Excellence topics
Develop forecasting models for Variable Cost/Fixed Cost and enhance spend transparency for her / his scope of responsibilities
Provide ad hoc analysis and support on performance delivery to a various range of internal Solvay departments (Transformation center, Corporate tax, Finance, GBUs, SBS PSL, Digital office, …) for her / his scope of responsibilities
Key role in the monitoring of the yearly budget exercise performed in order to feed GBUs budgets with market evolutions (including Working Capital and DPO)
Perform required data extraction & analysis from various required systems (salesforce.com, Qlikview, SAP BW, …) and organize trainings and / or awareness sessions for her / his scope of responsibilities

Education and Experience

  • University degree or equivalent by experience with at least 4 years of relevant experience (Finance and / or Procurement and / or Audit)
