  • Critically translates business needs or questions into functional and non-functional requirements usi ng “use cases” and “user stories” for projects and/or “change requests”. Challenges requirements and ensures that important requirements are not missed. Ensures that the required requirements lead to generic, sustainable, future-oriented, maintainable and user-friendly IT solutions.
  • Has knowledge of and contributes to the architecture of the application landscape and pro-actively shares this, including its context. Works closely with the software architects, developers and testers in such a way that the scope is preserved and that the functionalities are tested and deliver customer value.
  • Acts as a “bridging figure” and coordinates well with the business and technical stakeholders (internal or external), keeping the end-to-end solution in mind. Where applicable, also wo rks together well with, manages and/or coaches the “offshore” vendors/contractors.
  • Assesses and validates the required capacity/effort as an input to facilitate informed decisions.
  • Monitors the quality, consistency, scalability and development of applications in order to optimize utility and costs. Presents proposals for improvements, feeds backlog in order to support efficient prioritization.
  • (In consultation with the technical stakeholders) elaborates the best possible, concrete, sustainable solutions that are in line with the application philosophy and/or possibilities for “commercial of the shelf” (COTS). Writes and maintains coherent IT processes, requirements, documentation, scripts and/or knowledge management. Where applicable, realizes the chosen solution through application set-up and reports development.
Your profile
  • You have a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with several years of relevant experience in an IT environment. You have experience in analysing and designing information systems.
  • You work in a structured manner. You have an eye for detail without losing the overview.
  • You have strong analytical skills, conceptual thinking and realism. You are pragmatic. You question ideas and critically weigh different options.
  • You can work autonomously. You are proactive and spontaneously ask for help.
  • You are a team player, but you also dare to take ultimate responsibility.
  • You take ownership of your tasks and are able to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
  • You are a strong communicator and can adapt your language according to the interlocutor.
  • Knowledge of telecom products or experience within a telco environment is a plus.
  • You have an excellent knowledge of English, knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
  • You like to work in an agile team (scrum). Analysts, developers and testers work as one team and support each other.
