Solvay is a market leader in hydrogen peroxide, both in market share and technology. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is used mainly by the paper industry to bleach pulp. Its properties are also of interest to many markets, such as chemicals, food, textiles, and the environment.

Job Overview and Responsibilities

  • Drive the EMEA Supply Chain Team, Customer Services & Inside Sales Team for Solvay Peroxides (8 production sites, 1.000 customers, >35k deliveries a year)
  • Ensure on time and in full delivery, in full compliance with Solvay’s high safety standards
  • Ensure most profitable sourcing of customer orders and security of supply through continuous and robust S&OP process
  • Drive performance across the transport & warehouses network through close collaboration with main third party hauliers
  • Regularly review & challenge the way transport flows are organised, in order to optimise cost to serve
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements in the way of working, leveraging digitalisation, in order to increase customer satisfaction and profitability
  • Ensure fast & effective management of all customers requests & complaints
  • Drive collaboration with industrial, sales, finance & purchasing to ensure seamless customer experience and improve profitability
  • Lead, motivate, coach and develop a team of 24 FTE’s, ensure optimum knowledge management.

Education and Experience

Master degree in Supply Chain, Business Engineering or Chemical Engineering

  • University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Economics, Supply Chain management, Engineering or related fields.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Supply Chain
  • Minimum 3 years of successful experience in a management position.

  • Fluent in English.

German, French, Finnish or Portuguese knowledge is a plus

Additional Information

  • Knowledge of main Supply Chain Tools, understanding their input and output and how they interface with each others is a strong asset (SAP, CRM, Dynasys, TMS)

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain equipment (handling, transportation, packaging), characteristics and their instrumentation.
