We are hiring aHead of Sustainability!

We are looking for someone...

  • To implement the sustainability strategy for the Eurostar Group, with a focus on our transition to 100% renewable energy by 2030.
  • To ensure the implementation of that strategy supports the broader commercial goals of the Group, including our target of 30m passengers by 2030
  • To establish, measure and implement ongoing sustainability targets and programs across our operations, including waste reduction and energy efficiency
  • To represent our sustainability agenda with the CEO and with shareholders.
  • To mobilize all stakeholders towards the delivery of this strategy and targets, with a particular focus on harnessing the energy and motivation of your colleagues
  • To ensure a clear communication of our sustainability strategy, with the objective of drawing more customers towards our low-carbon travel offer
  • To ensure compliance across the Group with relevant environmental regulations and reporting obligations across our markets, including regulations relating to green claims
  • To manage the sustainability teams and to lead the Sustainability Steering Committee

Requirements

  • 5-10 years-experience in a management role within the environmental sustainability function of a significant corporate business
  • A track record of securing business engagement with the delivery of an ambitious sustainability agenda
  • Strong people manager experience and ability to work with colleagues across the organisation
  • An understanding of trends in corporate sustainability policies and initiatives, political and social trends as well as the fundamentals of European and/or UK environmental regulation
  • Strong analytical skills and effective in the use of data
  • The ability to present a convincing and inspirational narrative that motivates Board, management and customers behind our goal of low-carbon international travel
  • Willingness to work and travel across Belgium, UK and France.

Spoken and written English and French…Dutch an added bonus!
