Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

The HR Generalist oversees, supports, and manages the entire employee life cycle, from onboarding to departure, in close collaboration with key stakeholders (business, HR BP, EHS, employees).

Job Scope/Dimension

The role covers the Imerys Minerals Belgique operations site in Lixhe and Luxembourg’s office.

It is part of the management team of Lixhe’s site.

No direct reports.

Recruitment and Onboarding.

Training And Skills Development

  • Define and implement the training plan in line with strategic needs.
  • Monitor and optimize skills development.

Positive And Inspiring Work Environment

  • Ensure constructive social dialogue and manage individual and collective conflicts.
  • Support employee well-being initiatives.
  • Promote Imerys’ values to enhance engagement and corporate culture.

Compensation And Social Benefits

  • Optimize local compensation policies for competitiveness and fairness.
  • Ensure compensation alignment with market practices and internal standards.

Management Support And Performance Management

  • Primary contact for managerial support (team management, promotions, career development).
  • Provide guidance on resource organization and performance optimization.
  • Support operational implementation of HR policies on-site.

Social Relations Management

  • Primary contact and facilitate exchanges between management, employees, and representatives.
  • Ensure social dialogue as part of the management team (Works Council, Union Delegation).
  • Draft, monitor, and update Collective Labor Agreements (CLAs), ensuring their compliance with legislation and business needs.
  • Implement social relations strategies aligned with company objectives.

HR Policy And Procedure Management

  • Follow and improve site HR policies to comply with legal changes and company strategic directions.
  • Implement and optimize HR procedures for consistency and efficiency.
  • Provide payroll backup support.

Other Important Functions

  • Ambassador for Global HR Policies
  • Develop and Monitor KPIs
  • Participate in Local, Regional, and Group HR Projects
  • Ensure audit compliance and social/legal compliance

Job Specifications

Education and Experience requirements:

  • Higher Education (Short Program)
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role
  • Industrial environment experience preferred

  • Train, stimulate and disseminate safety and environmental awareness
  • Contribute through ideas or projects to Imerys’ climate change objective of reducing relative CO2 emissions by 36% in 2030 based on 2018 figures
  • Respect and promote the sorting of waste
  • Enforce safety instructions (wearing PPE, emergency procedures, daily individual Take 5, etc.) and know all EHS protocols (Environment, Health & Safety)
  • Contribute to the reduction of energy consumption (electricity, gas, water)
  • Know and apply the procedures in the event of an accident (safety or environmental)
  • Search for continuous improvement
