IT - Integration Support Engineer

Carrefour Belgium is looking forward to hiring an Integration Support Engineer with relevant experience in Middleware operations and maintenance. Previous experience in sectors such as Network Security or Application Integration would be a big plus.

Job Description

As our new colleague, you will be assisting the Middleware team to ensure operational viability of our IT integration system, as well as setting out architectural guidelines and providing general support.

With the acquisition of several new products, you will also contribute in the software migration, and prepare operational support for ongoing projects.

As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for, among others:

  • Participating in project rollouts
  • Receiving project knowledge transfer
  • Cooperating with IT Security to implement recommended measures
  • Automating maintenance and alerting
  • Respecting deadlines and reporting results

Operational Tasks

  • Keep the integration system healthy and up to date
  • Monitor integration flows
  • Provide 3rd level support
  • Report to business and IT-management
  • Support stand-by in shifts

Your Profile

  • You hold a master or bachelor degree in IT, or have equivalent experience
  • You have at least 1.5 years of relevant experience in IT operations.
  • You have fair knowledge of / experience with:
  • Cloud technologies, preferably GCP
  • Integration software, preferably Apigee and SAP CPI; TIBCO/BusinessWorks is a plus
  • General purpose programming languages (Python, JavaScript…)
  • Open Source development and runtime environments (GitHub, Eclipse, Apache…)
  • You have basic knowledge of / experience with:
  • Support service tooling
  • Hardware, OS (Unix/Linux) and networks
  • Security implements (AD, certificates…)
  • You are open minded towards different software solutions and architectural principles
  • You are a natural problem solver, capable of thinking ‘out of the box’
  • Teamwork is your passion, but you are perfectly capable of working independently
  • You’re fluent in English and either French or Dutch
