Job Overview and Responsibilities

The DataOps Engineer brings together several development skills within data and infrastructure management. S/he can take on the data-intensive portion of the data life cycle and has a specific focus towards automating jobs associated with cleaning, preparing and wrangling the data within the data pipelines. By doing so, s/he improves the availability, accessibility and integration of data. In essence, a DataOps engineer does not look at the data itself, but they enable others to do so. They implement, maintain and support the platform data management environment(s) from ingestion to storage, encoding, preparation and delivery to the respective users (i.e. Data Analysts, Data Scientists). And they do so in a DevOps-inspired way, recognizing the interconnected nature of the analytics and operations teams.

Education and Experience

Engineer or equivalent.
3 years of experience in DataOps implementation with a prefered focus on Ops than Data.

  • Strong leadership capability, executing as appropriate in the areas of responsibility

  • CI/CD, scheduling and monitoring experiences will be well appreciated.

  • Technologies like Talend, Dataiku, Google Cloud platform especially Google Big Query will be a plu
