We are hiring a Support Manager for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) in Brussels. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Main Responsibilities

As Support Manager you will be responsible for:
- Continuous follow-up of refinement of the system specifications;
- Participation in all relevant project meetings;
- Define and maintain test strategy and test scope;
- Define, maintain, execute and report on test cases;
- Functional code reviews (in Bitbucket);
- Organisation and implementation of support of information systems;
- Provide guidance regarding on the use of information systems;
- Maintain and update user support information on wiki sites and collaborative sites

Successful CandidateEducation and technical expertise
- Proven knowledge in end-user assistance or support for information systems;
- Good general IT skills (e.g. ability to understand JAVA code);
- Excellent communication / writing skills;
- Ability to give presentations and specialised IT trainings for end users;
- Ability to carry out manual testing of information systems;
- Ability to work in an international/multi-cultural environment.
Specific expertise
- Experienced with of reading and understanding technical documentation (e.g. UML diagrams, User Stories, Domain Model)
- Experienced with IT Testing strategies;
- Experienced in defining test scopes;
- Experienced with the different types of test cases;
- Experienced in defining and preparing test data;
- Experienced with issue and project tracking tools (i.e. JIRA);
- Experienced with the use of wiki and collaborative sites;
- Experience in the use of service manager tools (e.g. SMT);
- Experience on 2nd level support of information systems;
- Experienced in preparing user support documentation.
Languages
- Fluent in English.
- Documents will be written in English
