ASM is growing and therefore, we are looking for (Senior) Principal Technologists, Process Chemistry and Members of Technical Staff .

In this unique program you will start with 12-18 month training / R&D period in Europe (Belgium or Finland) before relocating to who will join our facilities in either Phoenix, USA or Seoul, Korea or Tama, Japan.

Responsibilities

• Provides expertise in process development, chemistry, materials, and equipment for deposition of thin films.
• Delivers innovative solutions, creates inventions, and works with R&D teams globally, contributes technically to diverse projects.
• Works closely with experts from the BU’s or Chemical Development Group (CDG) at ASM to deliver innovative breakthrough technologies
• Drives relationships with research institutes and chemical suppliers to deliver new chemistries to ASM for testing, aligned with company needs.
• Helps identify new opportunities with process development, chemicals or equipment. Provides tactical and strategic insights into suppliers’ product development roadmaps and shares input with key stakeholders in KPU and CDG
• Provides additional chemistry competency to the KPU and CDG
  
  

Requirements

Education & Experience

• PhD degree in process development, physics, material sciences chemistry or related fields
• 10+ years of industry experience in the semiconductor field
• The following experience and/or knowledge is required:
• Good working knowledge of ALD and CVD process technologies or chemistries
• Understands fundamentals of thin film deposition and characterization techniques
• Understanding of current and emerging application areas in the fields of logic and memory
• Demonstrated know-how of the major aspects of process scale-up and commercialization for the semiconductor industry

• Ability to work under time pressure to meet aggressive targets without compromising quality
• Ability to work with multiple international groups both internal and external
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate advanced technical constructs in a direct and concise manner
