Defining and executing patterning and metrology projects
What you will do
The imec Supplier Hub, located at the imec campus in Leuven (near Brussels), is an initiative involving many leading-edge semiconductor equipment suppliers and aims at creating a collaborative environment to investigate the practical interactions between all the different steps in the chip patterning process. The Advanced Patterning Center (APC), a joint initiative launched by imec and ASML to address the upcoming scaling challenges associated with the chip industry. The Supplier Hub will use actual devices to examine and optimize process steps as well as materials and device architecture choices, while applying integrated metrology.
For the APC and Supplier Hub we are looking for a process engineer in metrology.
As a you will:
- Take part in the definition and execution of patterning and metrology projects within the Advanced Patterning Center (APC)
- Translate customers request into a precise test plan to be executed in imec cleanroom
- Develop advanced metrology recipes on state-of-the-art e-beam tools in imec cleanroom (CD-SEM, e-beam metrology and inspection)
- Evaluate new releases of software packages on metrology tools
- Execute complex scanner metrology tests and scanner exposures
- Work closely with imec researcher in metrology, lithography and etch development
- Report results internally and externally (module meetings, customer weekly)

Who you are
- You have a master’s degree in applied sciences, material Engineering or electronics
- You have interest, or experience, in process development in a high-tech cleanroom.
- You can work in complex environments with various partners and customers
- You are flexible and able to deal with change or ambiguity
- You work accurately and have attention to details
- You can work without supervision and are proactive.
- You have good English communication skills
- You have strong presentation skills
