At Smart Technics, we have an exciting opportunity for DevOps software engineer. You will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of a software application. You will define the requirements, followed by conception, design, development, testing, and maintenance. Your work will involve integrating algorithms for computer vision and autonomous robots for our group. This is a great chance to join an innovative start-up within Colruyt Group.

Your tasks as an DevOps software engineer:

• You develop cutting-edge applications intricately connected to the IT architecture within our stores and logistics centers, employing industry-standard technologies such as NodeJS, Angular, Java, Python, and Docker and utilizing additional tools like Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and management.
• You develop and execute various software development tasks, including building, testing, debugging, fixing, and fine-tuning, utilizing version control systems like Git and collaborative tools like JIRA for efficient development workflows.
• Dive into integrating applications across diverse platforms and packages to create a seamless and efficient operational environment, using technologies like Docker for containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for efficient deployment and scaling.
• In case of incidents, you analyze the problem, suggest a solution, and take steps to maintain system integrity. You use monitoring tools like Grafana and/or Prometheus for proactive detection and resolution of issues.

You work in Halle or Haasrode and can work from home twice weekly or in one of our regional offices (Mechelen, Zwijnaarde, etc.).

Profile:

• Knowledge and experience – You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or a related field, with experience in CI/CD pipelines and Docker containers, or /and experience with Azure Cloud tools is a plus.
• Sense of initiative – You are hands-on and take action spontaneously.
• Team player – You work in project teams and aim for your success as a team. You are also familiar with SCRUM and Agile collaborations.
• Analytical skills – You quickly make connections and always keep an overview. You also have enough insight to predict the consequences of decisions.
• Solution-oriented – You don’t lose yourself in details and think about solutions.
• Communication skills – You can translate complex material into a simple message. You also use your technical skills and ideas to communicate convincingly and substantially.
• Language skills – You communicate fluently in English.
