Your ‘day to day’

You’ll be positioned at the interface between PMI’s Global D2C logistics teams, In-Market Logistics teams, and outsourced D2C logistics vendors. This role will drive strategic D2C logistics operational performance and vendor management of outsourced logistics partners globally.

  • Effectively work with D2C logistics vendors to negotiate optimal contract terms and pricing. Understand the trade-offs between cost, logistics capabilities, and quality in order to strike agreements that meet PMI’s D2C logistics performance criteria.
  • Lead PMI’s D2C logistics vendor MSA negotiations, ensuring top preferred terms are established between PMI and global/regional logistics vendors. Serve as SME supporting markets on their rate and territory agreement negotiations with logistics vendors.
  • Work closely with internal groups to understand legal, strategic and financial aspects of D2C logistics vendor relationships. Incorporating findings into strategic D2C vendor contractual agreements and global vendor management processes.
  • Collaborate across PMI organizations to ensure D2C logistics vendor objectives are met. Includes the ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to actively identify potential logistics vendor issues that can affect CX.
  • Work to optimize global D2C logistics performance, identify trends across markets, utilizing a structured process improvement methodology. Actively identify improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Develop action plans with target goals and timelines to address vendor performance gaps.
  • Externally benchmark and network to understand innovation and trends in D2C logistics vendor management and vendor landscape.


Who we’re looking for:
  • Extensive outsourced logistics vendor management experience
  • Logistics operational experience, especially in D2C logistics area
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills
  • Tactical and strategic logistics supplier contract and negotiation skills and experience
  • Ability to make quick decisions with 80% information
  • Project management / business process reengineering experience
  • Proven ability to collaborate with regional / global logistics vendors
  • Experience leading complex logistics outsourcing relationships across a wide range of hierarchy levels.
  • Effective negotiation and influence skills with the ability to inspire change, especially in situations of decentralized highly matrixed organizations
  • Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment, where it is important to react quickly to incoming requests.
