Production and distribution of hydrogen is a key contributor to a green economy and energy transition and represents a key opportunity for Aliaxis as part of its infrastructure and industrial piping systems offering.
We are looking to reinforce our Infrastructure segment department with the hiring of a New Business Development Manager Hydrogen. She/he will finetune our understanding of the hydrogen opportunity and start identifying business development opportunities through specific customer projects, while providing innovation with customer insights in view of specific product development.

Reporting into the Head of Infrastructure, you will handle the following responsibilities:

Key responsibilities:
  • Create customer insights through Voice-of-customer (VOC), translate market & customer needs into product and solution requirements, develop value propositions, define business models, understand willingness to pay
  • Define market entry strategy with regard to subsegments of electrolyzes (production), house connections, industrial sites (local production) and potentially long-distance transport
  • Proactively participate in pilot projects, together with the regions, to sell our systems and apply learnings to broaden the Aliaxis offering and ensure access to a broader future project pipeline
  • Provide customer insights to innovation in view of systems requirements
  • Act as the subject matter expert on Hydrogen, by collecting and summarizing internal and external market intelligence
  • Based on close customer interactions, build a sales strategy for the hydrogen opportunity per subsegment
Requirements:
Profile:Required Experience and Knowledge:
  • University degree in Engineering (MBA and/or PhD is a plus)
  • 7+ years of experience in business development ideally in the infrastructure or industrial space, with a significant technical content
  • Familiar with hydrogen production, transport, storage, distribution networks and hydrogen use applications
  • Good understanding of current and emerging technologies in the emerging hydrogen industry
  • Experience in customer relationships in the gas infrastructure space
  • Ability to solve customer business needs through a consultative approach and derive a compelling value proposition
  • Skills to engage effectively with broad range of stakeholders and decision makers mainly externally
  • Specification selling in view of specification/business development approach

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, can both think strategically and act pragmatically in implementation
  • Constructive and creative challenger, knows how to bring change
  • Fluent in English, German and/or French is a plus
