Overview

We are looking for Senior DevOps Engineer who has the knowledge and experience to help us improve our software delivery process by building functional systems that bring our business to new heights.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will also be working in conjunction with like-minded teams to build, test and deploy these new products and manage our infrastructure, associated processes and systems. It is required for you to be detail-oriented and a skilled problem solver because you will also be helping us to streamline and automate our processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Write test cases for infrastructure code.
  • Develop infrastructure code using test driven development (TDD) methods.
  • You take acc ountability for the quality of the delivered software. You keep a keen eye on product security.
  • You apply the boy scout rule in your work, always leaving the code in a better state than you found it. You tackle technical debt when you encounter it.
  • Stay current with industry trends and source new ways for our business to improve.
  • Support monitoring tools for infrastructure stability and cost analysis.
  • You actively engage in the team’s Scrum events and cross-team planning and review activities.
  • You mentor and support junior colleagues and establish best practices in the team.
  • You support the product owner in appropriate prioritization of technical user stories.
  • You create relevant and user-oriented documentation (but not too much).
Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science , Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field, or equivalent through experience
Experience And Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience in a DevOps Engineer role (or similar role).
  • Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures and Linux/Unix administration, Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of CI / CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps principles.
  • Expert knowledge of Cloud Service Provider platforms.
  • Expert knowledge of Cloud Native tools and technologies .
  • Good knowledge of scripting and programming languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a Scrum team.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems.
  • Current with industry trends, IT ops and industry best practices, and able to identify the ones we should implement.
  • Time and project management skills.
  • Solid team player who can lead individual initiatives.
