We are seeking an innovative, creative, and experienced Software Engineer who is ready for the challenges, responsibilities, and rewards that come with working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. iDirect is dedicated to providing next generation solutions for broadband IP networking via satellite networks. As the leading innovators in this new space, our diverse and talented team of internet, satellite, and telecommunications professionals continues to break new ground and create significant opportunities for network operators, for service providers/ resellers, and for corporate networking professionals .

Responsibilities

  • Translate various requirements of satellite telecommunication systems into architectures
  • Be involved in the complete development cycle of telecommunication software (protocols and applications): analysis, design, coding, test automation and bug fixing
  • Follow up whether your solutions are in line with the original defined architecture and requirements
  • Document your architecture, code, solutions and test cases
  • Work closely with other developers, Linux system engineers, quality assurance engineers around the globe Aspire towards a thorough understanding of satellite communication technologies and components
Qualifications

  • Hold a degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Are especially experienced in C/C++ and the Linux operating system.
  • Have detailed knowledge of TCP/IP protocol family.
  • Have at least practical experience in two of the following: Cellular Networks, Metro Ethernet, Scripting Languages, Linux command line tools, automated software validation
  • Enjoy learning and familiarizing yourself with demanding topics.
  • Are fluent in English and German, other languages are considered an asset.
  • Are interested in the world of satellite communications
