CLL Language Centres, a non-profit organization created by Catholic University of Louvain (UCLouvain) 35 years ago, organizes language training for companies, public institutions, adults, children and teenagers.


Description of the function

To complete our team, we are looking for a (m/f) :

LANGUAGE COORDINATOR

(EU funded project in the field of Education & Training)

Permanent contract, full-time position based in Brussels (Belgium)

The Language Coordinator (m/f) reports to the Department Manager and is responsible for the overall coordination and quality assurance of the distance-learning content, materials and tools in several languages. He/she coordinates, informs and leads the team of linguistic experts.

Details of the function

  • Assign the content creation assignments to the linguistic experts.
  • Brief the linguistic experts on the needs/missions and pedagogical specifications of each project.
  • Ensure that all created materials match the quality standards as defined by the Department Manager.
  • After verification, disseminate the created materials to Instructional Designers
  • Perform the technical verification of all created activities.
  • Order the production of media (video, animations, audio, visuals).
  • Order the necessary translations and transcriptions.

Profile description

Your profile

  • You hold a University degree in languages. Master’s degree or equivalent in an area of digital education is an asset.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a language trainer or in a pedagogical supervisor role.
  • You have proven experience working in the online or digital environment.
  • You have proven experience in the creation and quality control of language learning programmes.
  • You can work autonomously, relish challenges, have an easy-going temperament and have experience leading a team of people.
  • You possess strong teaching skills with a real interest in innovation, such as but not limited to: blended learning, online learning and the use of new technologies in the classroom.
  • You have a strong, proven interest in ICT in language education and in instructional design
  • You are comfortable with software vital to your role (Office Suite, Audacity, Adobe Connect) and have some experience using Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline.
  • You have a knowledge of English corresponding to level C1 as defined by the CEFR. The knowledge of another language is an asset.
