Our client is a main provider of software developing services in the transport industry, based in Brussels with offices close to a main railway station.

Functieomschrijving

The ideal candidate will have experience in both Solution Architecture and Domain Architecture, and possess strong leadership and communication skills.

You will integrate within our client’s Solution Delivery Department. Part of the time you will take up the role a Domain Architect, the other part of the time as TeamLead. You will make sure your team shapes he long-term architectural vision that allows our client to realize their digital ambitions.

Together with other experts in strategy, product, design, architecture, and engineering, you will facilitate the architectural process for new value propositions, business models, digital platforms, or services.

As a TeamLead:

• You will collaborate with the different business areas in order to plan team’s focus;
• You will develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are being met;
• You will provide guidance and support to team members to help them achieve their goals and professional development;
• You will guide and mentor team members to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality solutions.

As a Domain Architect:

• You will act as reliable partner in building the strategic IT planning;
• You will need to understand the bigger picture, you will shape the desired domain architecture and you will support the software delivery;
• You will collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that solutions align with business requirements and goals;
• You will evaluate new technologies and methodologies to ensure that the team is up-to-date with industry trends;
• You will take the lead in modeling the strategic and future-proof product and platform architecture;
• You will seamlessly bridge the technological and business perspectives.

Vereiste ervaring

• You have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field;
• You have at least 10 years of relevant working experience in a IT/delivery environment;
• You have the demonstrated ability to design and to deliver complex IT solutions;
• You have the proven ability to manage and lead a team of architects;
• You have strong skills in stakeholder management;
• You are an excellent communicator with a can-do mindset;
• You have a technical background allowing you to manage the technology product;
• You have an excellent understanding of common software engineering practices and architecture modeling practices;
• You have good active knowledge of Dutch and/or French, you’re fluent in English.
