• Develop an understanding of the client and the drivers for restructuring support, whether it is to navigate stress, seek to safeguard business or pursue growth.
• Define strategic direction and make key decisions. This includes organic and inorganic growth identification, new market and competitive strategy.
• Combine operational and financial analytics with situational and industry expertise to assess cost baselines, benchmark performance, optimize commercials and test improvement hypotheses to plan and implement performance optimization programs.
• Offer scenario planning capabilities to create an exhaustive view on turnaround options and portfolio optimization.
• Deliver sustainable and executable recovery & growth agendas to maximize impact on core performance metrics. The process includes defining the journey for strategic implementation and providing program management office services.
• Manage oversight, analysis and interpretation of historical financial data (general ledger), balance sheets, strategic and business plans, and publicly available information.
• Collaborate with professionals from other Service Offerings within the Deloitte network, such as Financial Advisory, Consulting, Tax & Legal, Audit & Enterprise Risk Services and Accounting.
• Support engagement management, including managing budgets and billing clients. You manage teams for the delivery of client work whilst also playing a role in the career development of more junior team members.
• Contribute to practice development e.g. by creating thought leadership, by leading new business proposals and presentations and developing new business.

Let’s talk about you

• University degree. Major in finance, management or economics is considered as a plus
• Team player with 3 years of strong experience gained in a similar position, preferably as consultant within a reputed strategy consulting house or corporate finance/corporate development in an international high performing company
• Mature business sense, enabling you to quickly understand trends and dynamics
• Logical and methodical approach to problem solving and self-confidence to convince stakeholders in sometimes volatile and ambiguous situations
• Strong storyboarding skill
• Rigorous numeracy skills to quickly analyze and synthesize data into a crisp and meaningful executive summary; Ability to undertake/understand/oversee detailed business performance analyses
• Commitment to deliver an exceptional result, with ability to work quickly and establish effective working relationships based on trust
• Self-confidence/appetite to be involved in client-facing business development activities
• Strong interpersonal skills to successfully network and ability to develop, coach and motivate junior team members
• Experience of operating with senior level stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for the purposes of clearly communicating to clients, stakeholders and teams
• Fluency in English, Dutch and/or French
