The Position



We are looking for an experienced business/innovation consultant with a strong entrepreneurial drive who will play an instrumental role in positioning and scaling of the new advisory branch of Materialise (Materialise Mindware). Mindware guides and accelerates companies in their adoption of Certified Additive Manufacturing (AM) by tapping into Materialise’s +30 years of expertise in Software, Hardware AM, and Engineering for AM. To achieve its goals the Mindware team collaborates closely with a diverse pool of AM experts and has full access to the technology backbone available at Materialise.


As a Senior Innovation Consultant, you take on an entrepreneurial role where you

  • Further position the Materialise Mindware brand in the market
  • Grow the Materialise Mindware business by securing new consultancy projects (screening, scoping, negotiating, closing)
  • Manage a portfolio of challenging innovation projects within different vertical industries with a focus on industrial & manufacturing transformation

Qualifications & Experience


Responsibilities

1) Further position the Materialise Mindware brand in the market

  • You leverage your external network to connect with target prospects in various industries
  • You defend our position in the AM Advisory Market and contribute to the Mindware thought leadership campaign by spreading the Mindware vision externally
  • You contribute to the professionalization of our Mindware services by bringing in new insights and methodologies

2) Grow the Materialise Mindware business by securing New consultancy projects

  • You play an important role in helping us grow our Mindware business in various segments by translating market specific needs into new Mindware services and capabilities
  • You work closely with the European Sales team to screen and qualify incoming project requests based on economic viability, technical feasibility and strategic fit with Materialise
  • You work closely with the clients to create tailored consulting proposals in line with their needs and expectations. You lead the contract & partnership negotiation

3) Manage a portfolio of challenging innovation projects within different vertical industries, with a focus on industrial transformation

  • You are responsible for executing the innovation roadmap for various applications, where you collaborate closely with our internal cross-functional teams and the customer to achieve agreed work packages on time and within budget
  • You ensure stakeholder alignment at all levels of the organization and you act as main point of contact for the client relationships you build throughout the projects
  • You use your strategic analytical skills to develop new value propositions, business cases and strategic partnership proposals which are presented to the Management of Materialise


Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Study Background: Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Sciences or comparable by experience
  • Professional Experience: 5-10 years of working experience in a Management Consultancy and/or Strategic Business development role
  • Functional expertise:
    • Experience in the sales process in consulting is a major asset
    • Affinity with technology and manufacturing environments, additive manufacturing is a plus
    • Experience in working with customers, steering and managing cross functional projects
    • Experience in leading change in industrial/manufacturing environments
