What are you going to do?
The pricing team will coordinate the periodical costing and pricing process in close coordination with the commercial departments, Purchase department, formulation, customer care and business controlling.
He- or she is responsible for maintaining the correct prices, including charges, in our ERP system, as well as ensuring that prices are being send timely to our customers. The pricing process leads to optimization of the profit of Trouw Nutrition Benelux in line with the long-term strategy of the company.
The Pricing Analyst reports to the Manager Pricing and works in a team of six, where two colleagues are based in the offices in Gent and four in the Netherlands offices. He or she is part of the Benelux Organization. Basically, divided in two locations (offices and factory’s): one in Gent and one in Putten.
What are your key accountabilities?
Process and communication:
Responsible for the preparing and maintaining the raw material price lists in the ERP environment and for putting the sales prices correctly and timely in the system.
Responsible for accurate price calculations for sister companies and third-party customers following the standard calculation, responsible for adding charges and additions in the system.
Ensuring timely price setting for new or changed items daily. Safeguarding the raw material prices and currency risks for sales contracts with a solid sales price and volume. Coordinating the communication between Pricing, Customer Care and Sales when a customer has reached the maximum contract volume.
Communicating of actual market information/developments to the commercial organisation and customers through market reports.
Ensuring order monitoring to safeguard the balance between purchased and sold positions.
Pricing and strategy:
Optimising the sales prices (in cooperation with commercial management and pricing team), advising the colleagues involved about market developments and competitive behaviour and our reaction /strategy to these developments.
Developing, optimising, and maintaining the pricing models of the product groups (margin matrix) as well as external pricing models.
In collaboration with the Purchase Department following up on the raw material market developments.
Calculating of pricing scenarios considering recipes, production costs and supply chain costs.
Preparing offers in close cooperation with sales and relevant departments, position and risk management, organising and analysing of benchmarks (market intelligence database);
Key account support and safeguarding budgeted (consolidated) sales profit.

What you bring
You have a bachelor’s in economics or any other similar field.
You have a couple years of relevant working experience.
You combine a general understanding of the business with knowledge of purchase and sales markets.
Preferably you have affinity with the agricultural business and environment.
You are fluent in Dutch and English (writing and speaking), and knowledge of other languages such as French is considered a plus.
