Quality Assurance Manager Avionics Projects

Mission:

You will be part of a team responsible for developing and guaranteeing the quality of the business stream “Air & Naval Systems products” for the company.

In relation with Engineering teams, Production teams, Project lead, Customer and sub-contractor representatives, you conduct the Quality process and you are accountable to ensure that the product development activities, deliveries and provided services are performed in accordance with the Avionics international standard s (AS9100 / ISO 9001 / AQAP2110).

As responsible for the Quality Assurance, you are the point of contact for every contributing part of the company : support function (HR, Finance, Legal, Purchase), Engineering, Production & Project teams, as well as senior managers, whether locally or globally within the group.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assure compliance of the quality process in line with the Thales Quality Management System and its according certifications.
  • Act as the interface between the engineering teams, production teams, project lead and Customer and sub-contractor representatives.
  • Contribute to product development, supplier selection and industrialization in a way to improve reliability, cost effectiveness, and on time delivery.
  • Define, manage and coordinate the necessary tasks with the engineering team in order to realize the functional verifications, validation, qualification and certification of our new products.
  • Participate to technical meetings and peer reviews together with the engineering, production and test teams as well as other stakeholders (customers, subcontractors, suppliers, regulatory authorities, …).
  • Prepare, review and approve data packages for acceptances, design and qualification reviews.
  • Evaluate Risks & Opportunities, and manage technical and quality issues with the team and propose the related mitigation plans throughout the bid or project.

Profile:

Educational Background

  • Engineering degree in Electronics / Telecommunications or equivalent by experience in aero sector
  • French And/OrDutch native level; fluent in English

Skills

  • At least a previous relevant experience of 1 of the following is required:
    • working in a Quality Engineering/Quality Production environment
    • working with a Quality Management System based on ISO9001and AS9100 (or equivalent high end quality standards)
  • Passionate by Aeronautics
  • Quality mindset
