This is a desk side position that will require a Senior IT Technician to solve customer support issues on-site, at our customer’s premises in Waterloo. We are looking for an extremely proactive person with a keen interest in technology, who is able to make suggestions for improvements and offer an opinion on new products or services. In addition, we are looking for a person with exceptional customer service skills, along with the ability to build effective working relationships with both team members and business users, and a flexible and committed approach to work.

Responsibilities

  • ITSMS Tool Set (Ticket Management Software)
  • Correctly track incidents and calls timely and accurately
  • Respond to computer related service and trouble calls
  • (Desktops/Laptops) - Hardware and Software Troubleshooting
  • Diagnose printer and other peripheral device failures and implement solutions
  • Provide installation and upgrade services of supported hardware and software
  • Support of key engineering applications at use within the business
  • Move workstations and peripherals, as required
  • Receive and provide required equipment (Install and set up equipment, cables, outlets and all other hardware) IMAC (installs/moves/add/changes)

Skills and Experience

  • 2 Years’ experience in an IT-Support Role
  • Advanced technical skills across Microsoft and Apple operating systems
  • Experienced with Apple Products (MacOS/IpadOS/IOS)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 2013/2016/Office365 Suite, Teams/Skype/Zoom
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Group Policy Objects
  • Understanding of Antivirus Protection Software, and VPN Solutions
  • Extensive Mobile technology expertise
  • Networking configuration and management skills
  • Advanced Print Management solution support and knowledge
  • Audio visual and conference room tools and technology experience
  • Candidates need to be flexible as some cover at alternative sites may be required (driving license required)
  • Candidates need to be flexible, efficient and able to work independently
  • Strong sense of customer service
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills [English]
