You are a key person within the Operational Excellence department. You advise the site leadership team and senior management on strategic decisions in the whole Puurs manufacturing and packaging plant.

You support your strategic advise with extended analyses of the department by taking quality, capacity and capability into account. You analyse and maintain the available capacity of equipment on the middle to long term.

By reacting proactively on increases or decreases of production volumes or transfers of new products, you prepare Pfizer Puurs for every challenge. It is paramount to be able to build the right network within the company and keep your finger on the tap in the different departments from a birds eye view.

Based on that intel, you create proposals to resolve any capacity constraints. You can do this by opening up business cases for new equipment, suggesting organisational changes or proposing efficiency increase projects (for instance SMED, RTE/OEE exercises, …).

Finally, you are capable of converting your strategic and analytical talent in a simple and pragmatic presentation. Your documents with suiting visualisations are then the basis for the strategic action plans rolled out site-wide.

Hence, as Strategical Plant Performance Engineer you rub shoulders with all departments of one of the biggest manufacturing sites within the Pfizer network, globally.

Qualifications

Must-Have
  • Master degree
  • Fluent in calculations and date processing
  • Understanding how to collaborate effectively with colleagues through the change process required to be successful in this position
  • Acting as a Change Management Agent, driving continuous improvement culture
Nice-to-Have
  • Master degree in plant performance management
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical production environment
  • Relevant experience with Six sigma
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively coach and guide colleagues and manage diverse relationships
  • The ability to plan for the future is essential
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Office applications, especially Excel
