The Supply Chain Project Manager will focus on business projects to support long-term supply chain strategies and business goals. We seek a professional to help set and monitor key integrated business planning performance indicators, cost-to-serve performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.


The Supply Chain Project Manager will be responsible for implementing best practices within the supply chain, as well as increasing supply chain skills among the SC community. He/she will work closely with Business Unit supply chains and operations. He/she will interact with all business support functions (Engineering, Production Management, Innovation, Finances and Procurement).

  • Contribute to the Supply Chain strategy deployment in all BUs: S&OP process implementation, distribution flow engineering
  • Animate the Supply Chain community around best SC practices
  • Bring Supply Chain expertise to enhance SC skills and maturity in BekaertDeslee
  • Lead key Supply Chain projects at BD group level
  • Optimize inventory levels through the definition of the BD/BU inventory policy as well as data analysis. Follow up on the Monthly performance @BU level
  • Reduce the total Supply Chain leadtime
  • Build a worldwide visibility on BU production capacities to facilitate internal toll manufacturing when necessary
  • Improve performance & cost to serve
  • Engineer our key raw material Supply Chain strategy and animate it
  • Interaction with stakeholders: Product Management, Innovation, Sales, Operation and plant managers, Engineering, Supply Chain community, Procurement Category Managers & Purchasers, Finances, Logistic and Customer Service

  • Works functionally cross BUs
  • Is reporting to: EVP SC & Procurement

Profile


  • Preferably master or equivalent through min 3 years of experience in supply chain project management
  • Up to date with the latest supply chain practices and tools
  • Project management
  • Experience in optimizing Raw Material and Finished Goods inventories through both ABC/XYZ analysis and Demand/planning management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to animate, influence and convince
  • Strong analytical mindset and skills
  • Business sense
  • Ability to deal with change and resistance
  • Ability to work in matrix/decentralized organization
  • Fluent in English: spoken and written
  • In the possibility to travel to Americas, Asia and Europe – 20%
